  • Finca Los Azacuanes is a 20-hectare farm owned by Carlos Mendez Florez, who has operated the farm since 2013. Around 20,000 coffee trees are planted across the farm, including Pacamara, Bourbon and Cuscatleco.

    Carlos places particular emphasis on environmental conservation and native wildlife. The farm uses shade-grown coffee, with coffee trees interplanted among native shade trees.

    The farm is located in Ahuachapan, in the northwest corner of El Salvador near Guatemala. The region is considered one of the historical centres of coffee cultivation in the country, with coffee production expanding there during the mid-19th century
