The washed process highlights clarity and structure while allowing the expressive Pink Bourbon variety to shine. The result is a vibrant and layered cup, combining stone fruit sweetness, Green apple acidity, floral honey notes, subtle herbality, and bright acidity, with a clean and refined finish typical of high-quality Huila coffees.

    HISTORY

Miguel Bohórquez has been producing coffee at El Triunfo in the hills of Central Huila, where diverse varieties such as Colombia, Caturra, Castillo, and Pink Bourbon are cultivated. The Pink Bourbon trees on the farm are relatively young, planted around 2022, and already showing exceptional potential.

Nordic Approach has been working with Miguel since 2020, and his coffees have consistently stood out for their expressiveness and precision. El Triunfo is a fully equipped farm with its own mill and drying facilities, allowing Miguel to maintain tight control over quality from harvest to export.

This lot is sourced through Coocentral, the main cooperative in Central Huila, which supports thousands of smallholder producers through technical assistance, quality-focused training, and extensive social programs. Together with Nordic Approach, Coocentral works to improve producer livelihoods, transparency, and long-term sustainability, ensuring that premiums paid for quality directly benefit farmers like Miguel and help secure the future of specialty coffee in the region.
