This exceptional coffee comes from Querofinca, the farm of Alex Barrantes in the mountainous province of Cajamarca, Peru. At 1,900 meters above sea level, the farm benefits from rich volcanic soil and diverse microclimates, which contribute to the complexity of the cup. Alex, a second-generation coffee grower, was inspired by his father’s knowledge and a deep respect for nature. From a young age, he envisioned building a brand rooted in sustainability and community-driven development.
This lot of Typica variety Coffea Arabica is washed-processed with precision and care. Ripe cherries are hand-harvested and sorted using a flotation tank to ensure only the highest-quality fruit is selected. After depulping, the seeds ferment for 18–24 hours, then dry slowly for 2–3 weeks to reach ideal moisture levels. The result is a clean, expressive coffee — a testament to Alex's commitment to innovation and eco-conscious farming through agroforestry systems.
By choosing this coffee, you're supporting a new generation of farmers redefining what it means to grow sustainably, while enjoying a cup that captures the harmony of craft and nature.
